You know there's a difference between "losing the belly" and "losing weight," right?
After giving birth, a lot of us are left with a little pudge around the middle (okay or a lotta pudge!).
Our gut reaction (no pun intended) is—I need to watch what I eat and go running!
But losing weight is not always the answer.
You might drop 20 pounds and STILL have that stubborn belly fat!
(Can we have a moment of silence for those WE HAVE THE FLATBELLY TEA ads I always see on the sidewalk?!)
You might not want to hear this, but what really matters is how your body is functioning and not so much what it looks like.
Pregnancy and birth really take a toll on the body.
So after having a baby, this is NOT the time to worry about diets, toning muscles, or losing fat.
This IS the time to focus on getting your core into tip-top shape to prevent issues like incontinence, painful sex, and yeah—even stubborn belly fat. Because that extra pudge around the middle might actually be cluing you in to something happening beneath the surface.
We go DEEP into this topic in the Mama Core Workshop - The Truth Behind the "Mommy Pooch." Check it out here!
